Week One: Beach Volleyball

Mens: MAKING NB HISTORY! Finn McMorran and Connor Waugh battled hard on the St. John’s sand, earning a 5th place finish — the best ever for NB men’s beach volleyball! Their determination and teamwork left a mark on the national stage and made NB proud.

Womens: Talia Nixon and Sophy Soderman brought heart and determination, powering their way to an 8th place finish at the Canada Game

Week Two: Indoor Volleyball

Mens: The Men’s team showed heart and hustle all week long to claim an impressive 5th place finish against the best!

Womens: The Women’s team made noise at Canada Games as they fought their way to a strong 5th place finish!

We are so proud of Team NB for showing up and making noise on a national stage! Their effort, teamwork, and passion for the game made New Brunswick proud as they closed out a memorable Canada Games!

Two Kaboom athletes, Charleigh and Cathrine, combined their love of learning with their love of the game for their school’s annual Heritage Fair at Nelson Rural in Miramichi. Their project, focused on the history and growth of Volleyball New Brunswick, showcasing the impact the sport has had across the province.

“We chose this project because we both take a huge part in the volleyball community, from club teams, school teams and even local clinics and camps. We also both love the game of volleyball and we both thought it was the perfect idea to learn new things about Volleyball New Brunswick,” the students shared.

Both athletes suit up for Nelson Rural School and Kaboom (Miramichi Volleyball Association), and their project is another example of the pride and passion they carry for the game—on and off the court.
