Canada Games

In 2025, the Canada Summer Games will be hosted in Newfoundland. These games will include Beach and Indoor Volleyball, and VNB will be selecting teams (Male and Female) to compete in both.

Athlete Selection:

Canada Games teams from New Brunswick will be selected following a documented and published Canada Games Plan. Details on training camps, entry and exit points, and final selections will be available soon.

Coaching Staff

Indoor Male – Jamie Chiasson

With over 20 years of extensive experience, Jamie Chiasson is a Certified Performance Coach who has worked at international, national, and regional levels, including club, university, high school, middle school, and provincial teams. He has previously served as a Provincial Development Coaching Learning Facilitator and played as a CIS player at UNB and in the ACAA in the USA. His senior playing career spanned 20 years, during which he was part of multiple provincial championship teams. Jamie has coached numerous provincial championship teams in male and female club, high school, and middle school levels. His achievements also include winning two Eastern Elite Gold medals and securing three out of five placements in Tier 1 Eastern Canadians.

Indoor Female – Joline Richard

Joline Noël holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Leisure Management from the Université de Moncton. During her time in Moncton, she played for five years and served as the captain of the Aigles Bleues volleyball team. Since 2021, Joline has been named the head coach of the Moncton Aigles Bleues, where she is committed to an athlete-centered approach, offering meaningful and enriching experiences. Joline has also been named the head coach of Team NB for the 2025 Canada Games, showcasing her leadership and dedication to developing young athletes. A vibrant person and proud mother of two little boys, Joline’s energy and holistic coaching style make her a driving force in the volleyball community. “I am thrilled for this journey and excited to see what we can achieve together. GO NB!”

Coaching Staff

Beach Male – Adam Apragg

Adam Spragg played for Dalhousie University from 2014 to 2018, and then moved on to play 2 seasons in England, where he won the UK University Beach Volleyball National Championship, both as a player and a coach of the women’s program. After his time abroad, he returned to Halifax and was an assistant coach with the Dalhousie men’s volleyball program from 2021 to 2024. Adam also coached at the 2022 Canada Games with Nova Scotia and had a 4th place finish.

Beach Female – Lauren-Hale Miller

Lauren Hale-Miller is an Advanced Development Coach for beach and a Performance Coach for indoor. Lauren has 15 years of coaching experience in New Brunswick and Alberta. She has a decade of experience with Volleyball New Brunswick’s high-performance program, including being a part of the 2017 Canada Games Women’s Indoor coaching staff as the Female Apprentice Coach. Her commitment to excellence and passion for the sport drive her success both on and off the court.
